Natasha Newton is an artist and maker living and working within the Surrey Hills National Landscape.

Born in Suffolk, UK, she started painting at a young age and is largely self-taught. Her contemporary folk art paintings celebrate the weather and changing seasons of the English countryside, and are painted in her distinctive colour palette of muted, rich, and earthy tones.

Working in watercolour, gouache, acrylic, and occasionally mixed media, her compositions capture the atmosphere of the landscape, and the textures and patterns found in nature. She has also recently started experimenting with textile art, translating the themes of her paintings into stitched pieces.
